PROCEDURE OF ADMISSION TO RUSSIAN UNIVERSITY

1. Filling in RUSSIAN STUDY REGISTRATION FORM.

2. Payment of the registration commitment fee, of 20 USD (non – refundable).  Later if the student makes firm decision to enter Russian University, this fees are deductible from Admission processing fees).

3. Online skype or whatsapp video call appointment with candidate, providing comprehensive information about studies in Russia and universities of her/his choice.

4. Payment of the admission processing fee, of 100 USD (non – refundable) upon which he/she will be issued with an admission letter to the University of choice.

5. Upon receiving of the admission letter from University, each candidate pays Visa processing fee (refundable only if visa invitation from Russia, is denied).  The amount of Visa processing fees is country-wise and informed upon application.

6. Submitting the school documents to National Ministry of Education to for certifying and then to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for legalization at the country of your residing. Performed by the foreign applicant on his/her own.

7. Translation of above mentioned documents  and your national passport to Russian language. Signia Consulting will provide you professional translation into Russian, at a fee of 15 USD per each document.

8. Submitting above mentioned documents to  the Russian Embassy for final legalization.  The process of legalization will be explained on admission. Performed by the foreign applicant on his/her own.

 

 

      

       DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ADMISSION TO RUSSIAN UNIVERSITY

1. Copies of school leaving documents with a mean grade of C plain and above. Candidates with results below C plain can be admitted CONDITIONALLY and only for Pre-University Course. Annual results for Form 4 and MOCK results are required for evaluation.

2. Copy of the valid passport for a minimum of one and a half years. If candidate does not have passport, he (she) will apply for it on receiving of Admission Letter.

3. Two passport size photographs.

4. General medical check up results, TB and HIV tests.

                                    ACADEMIC YEAR IN RUSSIN UNIVERSITIES

 

Basic programme classes in Russia start on 1 September and end on 30 June.

In certain cases, universities can make an exception for international students and accept their late applications.

There are two semesters: the first one is from 1t of September to 25th of January, the second one is from 9th of February to 30th of June. At the end of each semester students are passing exams. After this they have holidays: 2 weeks in winter (from 25th of January to 9th of February), 2 months in summer (from 1t of July to 30th of August).

 

Preparatory Department classes usually start in October and end in June; they can offer a more flexible schedule of training and courses of different lengths. Some begin in winter or in spring, and some are available anytime.

                                           LANGUAGE OF INSTRUCTION/STUDY

 

The official language of instruction in most Russian universities is Russian.

 

Some universities offer programs in foreign language- English or French. Therefore in order to join university with study program in Russian language, the candidate has to attend preparatory (foundation) pre-university language course with duration of half-year or one year term.
